Examples like YouTube recommendations, maps and restaurant reviews make even complex concepts easy for children and adults to understand. What I particularly enjoyed was the way every chapter builds curiosity for the next one. Once we started reading, both my kids and I were eager to continue, and I haven't seen them this interested in completing a learning series before. I also loved that the series doesn't present AI as magic. It explains how AI learns, why it can sometimes be wrong or biased, and why human judgment and responsibility are still so important. The message that the tool is powerful but the hand decides how it is used is something I think every child should understand. The father and son relationship between Ali and Baba also adds a beautiful human element to the stories. I would highly recommend parents read it together with their children. It is a great way for both kids and adults, from technical or non-technical backgrounds, to learn about AI while enjoying the story."
Michael Ibraheem"I really enjoyed the activities and quiz questions, especially the ones about patterns and AI. They made the learning fun and interesting. I also liked the idea that AI can be very helpful but cannot replace special things, like a mother or father telling us a story. I liked the message that AI is a tool, and it depends on us how we choose to use it."
Hamnah"I really liked the restaurant review activity, and how Rafeeq's reviews could become biased when the information was limited or outdated. It helped me understand that AI can sometimes give incorrect or incomplete answers. I also liked how each chapter made me curious about the next one. I enjoyed learning about algorithms, patterns, and predictions from millions of examples, and especially the message that we must use AI responsibly."
Muhammad"The little games really help in understanding what the concept is. People with kids can actually do this at bedtime. As a former kid, I'd have loved to hear such stories."
Sambhav"Learnt a little about AI, what it can do and what it cannot."
Aaisha and Hafsa"Rafeeq has read every story but has never sat on a bench. He can describe a thousand sunsets, but he has never watched one himself."
Abdullah"I was amazed at the way it was presented."
ThoukeerTwo reviewers, independently, named the same favourite: the token chopper in Chapter 5.
Every chapter is one story, one big idea, and hands-on activities - training a model by swiping, tipping a feature scale, fixing a biased dataset.
